How to make an appear animation?

Hi all!

I'm working on a game and I want to make some sort of appear animation. If you'll see the image below you'll know what I mean.

I want like a snake going around the arm. I'm working with Blender and Unity of course. So can you explain me how it can be done or what should I learn to be able to do this. Thanks for your time.
