background picture in my game
Hi...
I have a simple 2d game in my scene with orthographic camera. What i want is to put a picture i did in photoshop as background. What i have to create ? Thank you.

Import the image as a texture, and then create a material that uses that texture. Then create a 'plane' primitive object, remove the collider component (assuming you don't need it), and assign the material to the plane.
Technically, the built-in plane may be more highly tessellated than is actually needed for this, but it's most likely the easiest and quickest solution. (An alternative would be to make your own 'quad' mesh in a modeling program.)
ah thank but for the best quality what pixels i have to put in photoshop to have a nice background picture?
Not sure what you mean. Are you asking how to create high-quality background art in Photoshop? If so, that's more of an art question than a Unity question. If that's not what you're asking though, maybe you could clarify the question.
sorry if this is a dumb question but, why not using a sprite?
