Terrain Trees, billboard vs mesh determination
Im using a terrain with appox 5k tree instances and wish to instantiate enhanced detail prefabs into the scene located at my nearest mesh treeInstances. Currently I am repeat through all of the terrainData's treeInstance.position which is taking quite a hit on performance- now this calculation must have already been done for the terrain billboarding system.
Is there anyway I can just repeat through the mesh treeInstances only and not include the billboarders?
Any pointers appreciated
