Set variable in prefab to not set to prefab
I have a variable for character portraits. Each character portrait uses the same prefab (plane with some scripts) but has a different value for a script containing a string called "name" as well as some other small differences.
I want to keep the name variable the same no matter what I do to other prefabs, but I also want to have changes to one prefab resonate across all of them. Pretty much I want a prefab instance with some variables that will not be saved to the prefab when I hit apply or changed when I hit revert.
Is this possible? Thanks for any help.
