Mecanim acting differently when focused in hierchary
Hello everybody, I've been having this issue with Mecanim and I've searched through Unity Answers. I did find some discussions concerning problems like the one I'm experiencing. Unfortunately it didn't really help me out.
Because I have difficulties actually explaining my problem, I've recorded a video that shows my problem.
You can see in the video that the animations works correctly when the player object is highlighted in the scene hierarchy, but stops working when restarting. I'm working with the newest release of Unity 4.2.

I've had my fair share of buggy with Mecanim, have you tried attaching simple trigger controls to a script to test it in game view? You may find actually in the game it's not an issue.
Just making a script that toggles the "Dead" state fixed it. Somehow manually setting it bugged it out. Wouldn't have tried that if you hadn't come with your recommendation. Thank you.
