[META] why unity answers needs 15 reputation to vote?
unity answers is always encouraging us to vote for answers but i'm always questioning why does it need 15 reputation? why doesn't it make us vote without karma/reputation? and if they're asking us to vote more then they're decreasing the number of votes because of this karma thing.
It only takes one person to vote you up for anything for you to get enough $$anonymous$$arma to vote yourself.

Published because this is worth newbies reading.
15 karma is not hard to get. You need one right answer or one comment or question that gets a thumbs up. Not hard to do.
The 15 karma limit is to prevent spam bots from getting access to the site. It also makes it awkward (but not impossible) to create new accounts to vote on your own questions.
As a side effect brand new users who have no experience with coding, or who post bad questions, don't get to vote.
