Unity doesn't start on Mac OS X
I downloaded Unity 3.5.2 and installed in on my Mac.
It is a MacBook Pro, 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 Gb of RAM.
I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
When I double click the Unity icon, after a few seconds it unexpectedly quits. I tried running it from the Terminal window (/Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/MacOS/Unity) and it still crashed but at least the Terminal showed me an error message: Segmentation fault
How can I make it work?

I actually don't see the reason for posting a crash dump here. We are not the developers of Unity, we are the people that are using Unity, like you. If you want to report a bug, contact the Unity support. (Bug report FAQ)
The whole dump is about the native code of the Unity editor. Only the developers can get any useful information from such a dump.

The formatting of the text is quite simple: It's just plain html with some additional post processing ;). In html there are no linefeeds, you usually have to make a paragraph or a <BR/>
To create a simple linefeed (newline) just append two spaces behind a line followed by a real linefeed. To make a paragraph, just insert an empty line.
The "old" (stackexchange) system had a quick reference for the editor, unfortunately qato doesn't provide it. This is the quick reference of stack exchange which is almost the same i guess
I tried to post the answer it didn't? Anyway, I have an 2008 i$$anonymous$$ac 24in and had snow leopard with unity 3.3. When 3.4 came out, the website still said unity 3.3 for download. After awhile I purchased $$anonymous$$ac OSX lIon. Then I checked Unity website and saw 3.4 was on the download page. I vaguely remember it saying something like unity 3.4 was built for lion. So even though the system requirements say at least os 10.5 maybe unity 3.5.2 will work with lion installed on your mac? $$anonymous$$ine works and the problem I seem to have is the script editor disappears when opened then I have to click the icon on the tool bar to make it reappear.
I have an iMac 2008, 24inch, and I have had Unity 3.3 with Snow Leopard and saw that Unity 3.4 was out. I was wondering why I couldn't download it when it first came out, the website just said 3.3. So after a while bought Lion from the app store. Then when I went to the unity website I saw that Unity 3.4 was there to download? And I vaguely remember on the site it said unity 3.4 was built for Lion, but I do see that you need at least os 10.5 in the systems requirements. By the way, I didn't have much problems with OSX lion, except some drivers do not work in Lion.
