How to create inputs?
I'm very new to Unity (and programming) and this will seem like a very dumb question to most of you, but how do you make simple inputs in Unity? With other 3D game engines i have used there is usually an "eventoninput" gameobject/script and you give it the input key to look for (joystick right, keyboard r, etc.)and the action you would like to perform(start animation x, activate force q, etc) and it will create that input. How do you do this with Unity? Am i missing something very obvious or is scripting the only way to do this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are missing something obvious, the Manuals:
http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Manual/Input.html
http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/ScriptReference/Input.html
So if i wanted an animation to start when i click the letter p, I would have to do that through scripting?
