Unity 4 + new machine. Activate on 3.x and update, or 4.0 beta itself?
Hi.
Unity 4 beta was just released to the public, and also, I am planning to buy a new computer. I do know that Unity has to be uninstalled from the current computer that Unity is licensed on, and I do know that I have to send an email to Unity's support email, containing the needed information.
The question is: After I get a new computer and do all that is needed to transfer my license, can I license Unity on version 4 right away, or will I have to license it on 3.x and then update?
Another question comes to mind: Where can I find my computer's name on Mac OS X? (Needed to transfer/migrate to the new machine)
Thanks,
Luka.
Thanks, but even if I decide to do that, I'll have to know if I can activate Unity on 4.0 beta, or if I should activate it on 3.x and update to 4.0 beta. It would certainly save me some time if I can do it on 4.0 without the need of installing 3.x.
It should be activated with 3.x and updated to the 4.0 beta, according to this.
