Models types
I have a model and it doesn't work with unity I can change the file type but I just need to know what unity reads. Thank you for your help

.FBX, .3ds, .obj, .dae (collada), and a few more less popular ones.

What extension you convert to though should be based on a couple things like .FBX holds animation information as well so it's convenient to have that for models with prefab animations. .OBJ is like the universal file type for 3d editors but also the least detailed (which could work in your favor for LOD reasons). I could go on and on, but ultimately I'm saying take 15 minutes to read up on these to know which one makes sense for your application. Overall though, FBX seems to have the best support.
