How does Angle of collision affect velocity?
I'm working on a physics simulation, implementing some of the physics in unity myself. I've noticed that the speed of a colliding object (with 0 friction and 0.5 bounciness) gets halved when it hits the wall along its normal but sustains more speed when hit at an angle (e.g. 45°). I am interested in how Unity calculates the speed of an object in regards to the collision angle. Some insights on this would be highly appreciated.
