App rejection (crash)
Hi,
Our game was rejected on the iOS APp Store stating:
'...your app crashed on the iPad 3rd Gen running iOS6.0.01... Your app crashed on both WiFi- and cellular networks when we launched it.'
How can it crash if there is no multiplayer or game center connection?
It works nicely on our iPhone4 and iPad2 when testing it.
Appreciate any help on this one. Thanks!
it's very hard (however unfair this is) to be an Apple developer unless you have a vast amount of devices to test on.
Yer gonna struggle until you guys get a normal ipad (what are they up to, iPad4 ?? 4B or something) and an ipad $$anonymous$$ini, and an iPod5 (which has a totally different screen etc)
Ina word - have you installed 6.0 on your hardware there?
that's depressing. and you can't reproduce the problem on your end eh?
note that the sentence from them "Your app crashed on both WiFi- and cellular networks when we launched it" is just sort of a standard sentence they click to produce.
they're just saying "it crashed when we launched it". in your case the fact that they tried to launch it, while using cellular and then wifi, is likely irrelevant.
I'm sorry that doesn't help much. but at any rate it very likely has "nothing to do with" the networking aspect.
that being said, is it possible you have the "requires wifi" flag set? it's possible unchecking that could clear the woe :O
sorry for my ignorance regarding tech but where/how can I un-set the flag 'requires wifi'?
