Need some pointers towards basics.
I want to make my own zombie game - I adapt easily and can contemplate how to use programs and learn new things quickly however it is like building a brick wall - you have to place the foundations before you can start building. So basically what I am trying to say is I need help with understanding how to:
A: Basic understanding of how things work, scripting, applying setting in-game.
B: Make new designs for unity (assets) a.k.a zombie characters along with movements, buildings e.t.c. (blender or a link to a asset or packages)
C: Work out how to make this applicable in my game, i.e making the zombie AI interface realistic, Dynamically linking the zombies to interact with game environment and not just be like an aimbot (as soon as the character is near them they go for it, e.g line of sight/sound)
D: How to design characters and script/code them to move (I have the FPS controller asset)
E: Making weapons and adding them to my game.
I have a basic knowledge of Blender and Unity (I've been mucking around with some maps), but I would GREATLY appreciate help! Thankyou soooo much in advance! Please email me at troy-martens@hotmail.com if I do not reply to this question with thanks - it means I couldnt find it again haha>:
Pure fail at question and i'll hope nobody is going to send you emails. You break the very basic rules on this page. http://answers.unity3d.com/faq
I appreciate the very well formed and contrite question, but it gets asked several times per day, and this is not the best place for it. Check the Unity Forum. Also please use the 'search' feature. That said, maybe there should be a VFAQ (VERY frequently asked questions) which points folks to such resouces.
That was mean bunny. That isn't the spirit of this forum either.
I use this a lot as a starting off point: http://www.google.com/cse/m?cx=002470491425767499270:iugs1ezlsfq&cref=&theme=DEFAULT
