How to make crosshairs transparent?

HELP!!! I have made and implanted some cross-hairs into my game (fps), but the white area is white (see below). how do i make the white area transparent, so that the only thing showing up is the black cross hair?

Ive temporally added the image to this address http://www.soundsolder.co.nr under the hours page

You're kind of hilarious. You've embedded a screenshot that references a position on your hard-drive! Upload the screenshot to somewhere on the internet, and try again. Nobody can see your screenie, as it stands.

Ok, I see. Does the texture have an alpha channel?

Yeah don't use that. It's doing the exact opposite of what you want (obviously). You should give your texture an alpha channel in whatever image manipulation program you favour.

Export/save your crosshair as a .PNG file and use some transparency tool within your image editor. Ans that should give you an alpha channel.
