Why would my floor suddenly disappear upon play?
Hey everyone, Today i had basically finished a half complete fps survival game. Somehow (i dont know how i did it) when the play is pressed the floor upon which all my objects are placed on simply disappears from existence. the floor is made up of a thin cube.
The colliders on both parties are correct and i dont believe this is the problem, as i have re added, and even totally redid my cube and the same result happened. To be more clear, the game object are NOT falling through the floor, but rather the floor is just disappearing on play. It is still present in the inspector beforehand but as soon as play is pressed it vanishes.
Any ideas of what it could be or how to fix it would be great!
Cheers
Select your plane when on play and hit f to see where it is actually. Did you define it in any script? $$anonymous$$aybe there's sth wrong there
It just disappears! I am pretty sure i havent mentioned in any scripts either. Here are the files if anyone was wondering.
Either physics or animation is moving your plane to some random place, as @ozturkcompany is suggesting, or you explicitly destroy it in one of your scripts. Search your solution for Destroy. There's no other way to completely remove a GameObject besides Destroying it.
Code could also change its name, so maybe check it isn't just renamed and moved/scaled somewhere.
What shader/material are you applying onto the floor? Is it supported by the target platform?

i think it must be in my scripts somewhere, i'm going over now. the material is just the default one.
