Use Mono in Unity
After asking how to load additional scripts at runtime in this post, the anwser I got pointed to this page. Now I was wondering how I can use the class on that page in MonoDevelop. Do I have to import something (maybe a dll)? Or is the Mono package built into Mono-Develop
What kind of extensions are you looking to implement ?
edit : Depending of what you want, using an interpreted language like lua might be a good solution.
Here is the thing : I don't know. I've already done it in C++, so I know for a fact that it's possible in C#. This link looks like a good start :

The binding itself is easy. Setting up the communication between the functions needs a little more work. After some time, you can do some pretty neat stuff, like setting up a series of characters sheet in lua with the stats and all, and fetch them from the C#. As the lua is interpreted, you just have to build your application and then modify the lua file as much as you want without having to build again. Good luck. :)
Great! If you convert the question to an answer, I'll mark it as correct!

For easy modding, a solution is to bind an interpreted language like Lua. The binding itself is easy. Setting up the communication between the functions needs a little more work. After some time, you can do some pretty neat stuff, like setting up a series of characters sheet in Luawith the stats and all, and fetch them from the C#. As the Lua interpreted, you just have to build your application and then modify the Lua file as much as you want without having to build again. Follow this link to find instruction on the binding with Lua :
