.wav file not working
Hi there, I've listened to imported music & sounds from .wav files in Unity before, and now none of them make a sound, in neither the inspector nor game mode. I tried re-importing them, but with no further success. Does Unity 4 require a different file format or something? Thanks for your help.

I'm using unity4 (downloaded one week ago) and I've no problems with wav and ogg. I think is your computer problem.. Try to open file from windows media player (or other audio programs) for check if it's an audio driver problem.
