Xbox 360 Control GUI problem
I'm super new to Unity and have scarce understanding of JavaScript but somehow I've scrapped by so far and have my game to a playable stage. I mapped my 360 controller earlier through inputs and everything works fine in game however, when it comes to GUI it doesn't want to play nice. I need some way of controlling the GUI via 360 controller, for my pause menu. I've already trawled answer pages but it seems this problem is a tricky one and if I've missed the answer I'm sorry. If anyone has a working script they could share that would be super great. Thank you.
Do you want something like a navigable menu? I wouldn't use OnGUI if that is what your using. I would create the GUIText/GUITextures through the inspector and when paused show them. Then all you would need is an int value for the currently selected one and when player pushes button int++ or int--.
Yes, basically I wanted to be able to scroll through about three different choices. At the $$anonymous$$ute I am using OnGUI. I'll give what you said a go however, would you be able to tell me or give an example of using the int++ and int--. Also presumably this would work for a main menu also, just displaying them at all times ins$$anonymous$$d of if game is paused
