Backface Culling Unity
Hi, I'm currently using Unity iOS. Is it possible to have rooms, objects, characters load only when the FPS controller approaches that area.
I've heard backface culling is only a Unity Pro feature, but is there a script or setting for Unity iOS to load objects when needed?
Currently my model meshes are too large for Unity, I'm trying to make the polycount lower but Unity makes it 5 times more. This causes the app to crash.
If you could help, it would be appreciated. Thank you
Occlusion culling is the Unity Pro feature you're talking about, not backface culling. Backface culling is a rendering optimization used in almost all built-in shaders, and does not require Pro.
