I'd say because its running the Chrome web browser within Chrome OS it should be possible to get the Unity Web Player working in the same manner in which you would a normal machine/browser.

Chrome OS does not support classical browser plug ins. It will, however, support Google native client at some point in the future, which we are also working on porting Unity to, so by publishing to NaCl, you will eventually have the option to run Unity web content on Chrome OS.

Jonas, any update on this yet - is google native client available in the chrome os? And/or are you any closer to enabling unity no matter what the underlying os? Thanks.

Chrome OS does include NaCl, and I know from our friends at Google that they've had some success running Unity games in NaCl on a Samsung Chromebook, although with some graphics issues. I tried it myself on a V$$anonymous$$ (since I don't own a real Chromebook), which would not work, probably due to lacking GPU driver support by the V$$anonymous$$. So it should at least in theory be possible, but your milage may vary, depending on the setup.

FWIW, If you get a chance to try it yourself, I'd love to hear how it works!
