Package keeps reimporting itself.

Huge Unity noob here. I installed a package for water and messed around with it a bit until I realized it was out of date (Water+ to be exact) and after trying to remove it from the assets folder it keeps reimporting itself and breaking my game. I'm assuming something I played around with is still in the project but I can't figure out what. Any ideas of how to get rid of it? Thanks.
