Faded terrain texture edges

In my game I'm pretty "zoomed in", as in the camera is close to the ground and the game is in a small scale (think mouse instead of person). This is what my textures look like: alt text

I want the grass texture immediately change to the gravel texture, or even better if I can change the fade amount for the textures. I have tried, with no success, changing the resolution of the texture, but that doesn't work.

The terrain automaticaly applies blending between the textures, even if you chose the brush that seems to have no opacity at the border.

It is texture independant, whether you set a size of 0.1 or 15 to your texture, the terrain is going to apply a same amount of blending at the edges. The ony thing you can do, for it to me less visible is to increase the size of your controltexture's resolution.
