What is the difference between SmoothDamp and SmoothStep

The title sort of says it all. What is the difference between Mathf.SmoothDamp and Mathf.SmoothStep???

The script reference seems to indicate they do the exact same thing! Interpolate a value from A->B over t creating smoothing at the limits of A & B...

Could someone maybe clear this up for me? Thanks a lot!
