Unity wont launch
So last night I finally decided to start learning to use unity, I downloaded unity 4 free and started following some beginner tutorials. However, this evening when I tried to launch unity, it failed to do so and returned the following error; / Unable to load mono library from "C:/Program Files (x86)/Unity/Editor/Data/Mono/EmbedRuntime/mono.dll" (error = 126). / I haven't made any changes since the last time I launched, so I am confused as to what is causing it. Advice is much appreciated!
Is the problem with Unity or $$anonymous$$onoDevelop? You could 1/ reinstall; 2/ contact support : http://unity3d.com/company/contact (Email support: support@unity3d.com)
Try reinstalling Unity. The error says it cannot read the 'mono.dll' file inside the editor's directory.
Yeah. Same for me. It crashes quite often. I just wrote post. Tried to dig into it but now luck so far. I would like to know why this error occurs. Is it anything that we do wrong? Or is it simply internal issue?
this probably wont help but the same thing happened to me with unity 4.0.1 I re-installed it
I installed Unity Pro 4.1 yesterday itself...but I too face the same problem. It says, "Failed to load mono". Guess, after reading the post and replies above, I will have to re-install it...,I installed Unity Pro yesterday itself...but I too face the same problem. It says, "Failed to load mono". Hi,
I had the same problem u have to re install the C:/Program Files (x86)/Unity/* folder, because more files are missing, not just the file in the error.
Keeping an already installed unity in a zip can also saves time to fix this problem.
