Camera Noise Effect Causing Black Screen?

I have had a noise effect toggle on and off at certain points in game that go hand in hand with certain jumpscares (My game is a horror). But it was working well until a few moments ago where every time its supposed to toggle the noise effect on and off. It just replaces the scratch and grain with... just black.... my screen just toggles black and then normal again. Off the top of my head i cannot think of what i must have changed in order for this to happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
