How can i automatically or manualy find missing objects?
Basically i have been making a really basic fps but my organization system got really messy, i fixed it by moving some files into folders to organize it only problem is that unity hasn't automatically found them again like i assumed it would and i don't know how to tell unity where the files are now. any suggestions aside from try and move them all back where they were?
In future turn on $$anonymous$$eta Files and make sure you move them too. Right now you might be able to find and fix missing scripts with this: http://unitygems.com/lateral otherwise it's put them back and hope or revert to a backup.
It's very wise to use some kind of source control with your projects. Something like GIT will work with Unity (Without IDE integration in the editor).
So there is no way to tell unity that i want to use a specific object in place of the missing one? like for example the same asset in a different location. i know that i can set the mesh filler as the right basic shape but that has a bunch of issues
