Question by cr1t1cal · May 05, 2012 at 07:31 PM · animationmodelmayatranslation

Model disappears during animation

So I have a model that contains 2 animations, split from one scene file:

idle, frames 1-72, looping

run, frames 73-108, looping

When I call the run animation, everything happens perfectly. The animation runs and loops until I stop it. When I call the idle animation, however, my model seems to translate to some unknown location. Is there a place in unity where I can possibly see what's causing this?

I used Maya 2012 to rig and animate the model and the model stays stationary when I play the animation there. I imported the model using the .mb file and baked the animations in the import settings.

Any help or direction as to where I can begin looking would be greatly appreciated.

As an addition, I've discovered that the units are translating to what looks like 0,-a lot,0 and scaling up to full size from 0.05f.

That sounds strange, I haven't seen such bug before. It's either a bug in Unity or there is something wrong with your model.

You can always check animation keys of imported animation in Animation Window in Unity Editor.
