Design question, multiple issues
I want to draw a line(curved) as finger moves on screen after that move a instantited gameobject/rigidbody following that path. 2D
My game is in 2D. Line can be any random line or curve. (have a start and end point)
I read that touch need to be converted from 2D screen to 3D world point using the function ScreentoWorldPoint function. Is this necessary because my line have constant Z axis.
I want object to follow the path only after the user lifts up the finger (smthg OntouchEXit).
Is it necessary to save the path? or can make one object follow the other after a while.
How to go about this..
Design question need to be asked on Unity Forums. Unity Answers is for single, specific issues, and you have multiple, general issues here. You need to break your problem down into individual pieces and research each. A few comments:
Yes the points have to be converted to world space.
You need to explore Generic Lists (lots of UA posts on the subject)
You need to explore how to collect positions as a finger moves. There are some UA answers on this topic as well.
Depending on whether you want a smoothed walk or a precise walk, you need to explore moving between waypoints or walking splines. Lots of posts on each on UA.
Thank you. Apologies. First post, new to Unity. I will explore all the keywords you suggested. Thanks.
