Question by oblorty · Oct 19, 2012 at 11:56 PM · buildtimedocumentationreduce

Is there any documentation on reducing build times?

My game is taking about 20 minutes to build. im wondering if there are any guidelines or things that can be done to avoid long build times.

Does it have to do with how many scripts you have or the connections between the scripts? right now i have about 100 scripts

Thanks!

I found the answer to my problem here:

http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/101624-Build-time-very-slow-in-Unity-3.4

basically when using scripts as variables ( i.e. "var script : Script" ) you want to do ( "private var script : Script ) ins$$anonymous$$d on all your scripts...
