Image suddenly flash on screen when triggered?

Im fairly new to coding and unity and i am making a horror game, i wont go into detail about that but i really need a code that makes an image flash onto the screen. Because, in the horror game when the monster 'gets' you i want a scary image to flash onto the screen and then suddenly dissapear again, hopefully giving the player a fright.
