Unity isn't properly syncing with project
Hello,
Recently I switched computers and I made sure to save the project to an external disk.
The project loads fine on this computer, and I can play it with no issues whatsoever. The problem comes in when I want to do anything to the "project options," as it doesn't recognize a project, so the option is completely greyed out.
Yesterday I reimported the assets and it worked fine, but today there's no such luck.
I've also tried "syncing Monodevelop" from Unity.
Unity was just reinstalled a couple of days ago along with Monodev.
Any suggestions on where to go from here?
Just reinstalled $$anonymous$$onodev and Xamarin. Same exact issue.
I can't be the only lucky one with this issue right?
You could try exporting the assets in the project as a package and reimporting it into a new project.
I actually did try creating a new project, and I had the same exact situation.
I created one with all my old assets, and another brand new one with nothing at all. Same error both times.
What I've done so far:
-Returned my license, reactivated on a whole new version of Unity
-Tried transferring all of my $$anonymous$$onodev files into solely Xamarin
-Installed $$anonymous$$onodev separately and together with Unity
The best fix that I've found is to give $$anonymous$$onodev the finger and go back to Visual Studio C#. It doesn't sync with Express, but it DOES work.
With $$anonymous$$onodev, I literally can't get the "Project Options" to not be grayed out. Very very strange.
What OS platform?
In $$anonymous$$onodevelop, what happens if you create a New Solution from the welcome page? $$anonymous$$aybe you can get in and reset things so that it syncs with Unity afterwards.
That was a good suggestion, but when I make a new solution (just a basic console application) I add a few lines, save it, compile it, etc, and it's still gray.
Never had this problem before.
Also, Windows for the Unity project, and Windows for my OS with .net 3.5 (because I can't change it).
I also dual-boot Linux, but only for things non-mono and Unity related.
