Collider scale problem with Blender import

Hello,

I've been using Unity for awhile, but most of it has been on the scripting side. Now I am trying to import a model from Blender 2.57 and I'm having some problems. Here are the steps that I am taking to import:

  1. Exported to FBX setting the scale to 0.5

  2. Imported in Unity and changed the scale in Unity to 1 and generated colliders

  3. Dragged the model into the scene

  4. Added a mesh collider to the root game object. You can see there results here.

Notice that the mesh collider is really, really big compared to the model. How did this happen? Also, the mesh collider uses the Plane mesh which I didn't create. Where did this game object come from? The scale on that mesh is something really weird (0.5926, 0.4336, 0.4336).

Why would you need to export with a scale of 0.5 anyway? just leave it at 1 and adjust on import. There surely are scales applied in blender, too. Look here how to apply the scaling (set the scale to 1.0 while preserving the current size) http://foreverblender.blogspot.com/2010/12/apply-location-rotation-scale.html
