Scale like in Hammer Editor?
Hi, Is it possible to use the scale theory of the hammer editor in Unity?
In Hammer there is a set of dimensions; 128 units high walls, and 78 units high characters. a vent is 40x40 and a desk is 40 and so on.. these units are only indicated on the dev textures, so in reality on unit can be what ever you want, aslong as you zoom out the camera, although that would give som practically huge models .
I know that in unity most people say 1 unit is one meter, since the gravity scale in unity is 9,(something) m/s, is in meters.
But is there a way to do this in a smart way?
Im not asking you to reinvent the deep plate, as i think most of you have already come up with your own methods.
im simply asking you to share your knowledge, and heck, make this questiion into the ultimate scale reference
you do NOT necessarily have to use 1 unit == 1 meter, nor do you have to use 1 kg == 1 kg for mass.
use anything you want !!
it just might make it a little harder to get the relative size/masses correct in your head later.
so go ahead and use any scale whatsoever.
you can change the gravity setting easily, if you are using a non-1-meter scale.
"make this questiion into the ultimate scale reference"
there is nothing to it. Just use any scale you want!
