Shuriken Particles Random size not random?

When creating a particle system in shuriken, and setting a random size, the particles all seem to range from large to small from left to right (depending on where you look from.) The system in the example is being viewed in iso, and is a sphere emitter, but i have tried the other shapes, and perp view. I have random velocity on the x, -2 and 2. and size range from 0 to 0.2.

This has also happened to me with the alpha fade in some particles, where color over lifetime will fade from right to left, or left to right, the same every time.
