Question by Gamershaze · Jan 09, 2013 at 01:40 PM · licenseprostudent

Can the Student Liscense of Unity3D Pro be used for..

Can the Student License of Unity3D Pro be used for publishing and selling games? Yes, I am a student, and therefore the full price of Unity3D is obviously a bit steep for me. I'd love to upgrade to Pro so I can work further on my project, I just need to know if there are any restrictions as if you can actually sell your game, or any others I should know about when purchasing the Student version of this.

Site I was going to buy it from: http://www.studica.com/unity

Also yes, I do realize this isn't the average question for this section, but I have no idea where else to put it and I need an answer before I purchase it. Thanks.

Studica sells a few different student licenses, one of them is explicitly marked as a commercial license: http://www.studica.com/unity/unity-pro-4-student-commercial.html

The bad news is that its price is nowhere close to the other student licenses (which state that they can't be used commercially on their details pages).
