£ Symbol won't work on Mac?
Hi,
I'm making an iOS title which I'm developing on PC and then moving over to mac for building purposes. This has been fine up until now when I'm coming to display various prices.
On PC £0.69 shows up perfectly, on mac the £ is mysteriously missing and this applies to the full build too.
If I create a new GUI element that has the default Arial font and material that will display a £, but the custom fonts will not. Is there a way I can force the arial font and material onto an object already created? In theory I could recreate every text asset I require and remap them but this is a great deal of work for something so trivial.
Anybody have any advice?
Thanks
Shift-3 is #. ;) Alt-3 is £. Depends on which keyboard you have, of course. Not that it has anything to do with the question, though.
Yes, my custom font does have a £ character. It appears the issue was the mac doesn't support dynamic sizing of fonts, this import setting meant for some reason certain characters don't appear.
yh $$anonymous$$es shift 3 apple keyboard like the flat keys for typing. does he mean that when he builds the game to mac it just vanishes.
think i may of misread the question
