Help with 2d platform shooter aim

Hi i'm new to Unity and am currently working on a 2d platformer shooter. I am trying to rotate an object around the character, representing the direction i will shoot, around my character controller. Since i am developing for Android platforms i am looking for a solution using analogs.

As you see i need to move the box around the character controller as i move the analog (Touchpad).
