Question: Is it possible to create an image out of an HTML canvas in unity using c#?
Hey kinda new to this but i have been getting a little comfortable in unity and in c#. I think there is a way to accomplish what I'm trying to do but can't seem to find where to look.
The Problem: There is a picture of a map online that gets regularly updated. I want to use that map in my project but since it gets updated I want to get it in its current state. From what I can tell (using my web inspector) the map is an html canvas object that has a background image with information overlaid on top.
What I have so far: I figured out I can grab the background image using a WWW object just fine. The overlaid info is harder to get to BUT I have found that in my browser I can right click the object and use the "save image as" option and it saves a png of the overlaid information just fine. If i could somehow simulate that using code in unity I'd be fine but I can't figure out how/if that is possible. Is c# the problem and i need to look at another language?
Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm fully aware that what I'm attempting might not be possible. I just want to know if anyone has an idea of where i could look to find a solution.
NOTE: I'd link to the map here if possible but you have to have credentials to get in, not sure i want to share those.
