Question by kmoosmann · Jul 15, 2014 at 09:45 PM · audiodistancegame objectaudio source

Some audios don't play in the build as long as their distance level is intersecting with others of the same kind

Hey there,

I am absolutely clueless about this one, can't for the life of me figure this out.

I have a river in my map - and I need to place several looping water audio files (.wav converted to .ogg). So I did that - and it plays just fine in the editor, but once built, only two of the audios remain (the audio at the beginning and the end of the river). I figure it's because their distance zones aren't intersecting each other like all the others do.

I just simply created an empty game object with an audio source, set it to loop/play on awake - and like I said, it works fine in the editor. The audios are definitely being pushed into the build because two of them are playing.

Other audios through the map are playing fine, too it seems. Any ideas on this one? :/

How many sounds are you trying to play at once? PC has a relatively high "max voice" limit, but the limit on mobile tends to be lower.

If your max rolloff distance is set very high, a sound may still be "playing" without even being particularly audible.
