Replacing the default Unity font (Android/iOS)

Is it possible to replace the actual default font Unity bundles with Android / iOS apps? I know about custom fonts but I'd rather replace the default font as they look downright ugly in English and Japanese on Android. But more so because I need to keep the app as small as possible. Adding in an extra font package for 2 languages can easily consume a few MBs which is costly.
