Spotlight problem?
Hi i am brand new to all of this so sorry if this is a really stupid question. I am trying to make a flashlight so I took a first person controller and put the spotlight by it, rotated it and dragged the spotlight into the first person thing on the side menu. Then I deleted the default camera and when I try to use my flashlight I run into a problem. The spotlight moves perfectly side to side and in all horizontal directions but does not move in any vertical or diagonal directions. I made one correctly before and don't think I have changed any settings since. Thanks for any help!
$$anonymous$$ake the spotlight a child of the camera inside the character controller :
Character Controller
> Camera
> Spotlight
so the spotlight follows the camera, not just the character controller
Try attaching the spot light to the camera if you havent already, you should have a first person controller or sorts right? if you do, try attaching it to that instead if the camera one doesnt work. If none of this works just comment again and ill try to help you as i too have had this issue.
