Beast lightmapping and transparent shader
Hi,
I think it's related somehow to the following question
I tried to bake a model with a transparent shader, and beast did apparently ignore it totally and my model ( It was set as static) was thereafter just plain invisible and impossible to get back, if I selected it I could see the mesh hilited but not the shader.
Is it possible for beast to bake light passing thru transparent shaders? is there an tricks I need to be aware?
thanks for your help,
Jean
Commenting only as I don't have an answer, but from what little I've gathered, lightmapping is something that has to be supported by the shader. I feel your frustration though. It sucks knowing you can't parallax map and have lightmaps at the same time, for instance. But I think this may also be a problem nonexistent in Unity Pro, as I heard that multiple lightmaps doesn't actually work in the free version (despite letting you select it). Hopefully someone can offer a real answer though, as I wouldn't $$anonymous$$d sorting this out, myself.
