External lightmap dull when texture added
I am producing my light map externally and they look fine on a blank white material but as soon as i add any type of color or texture my lightmap just looks really dull, please see the following image.
Am i doing anything wrong or is this how unity handles lightmapping? it just doesn't seem right to me, any texture seems to kill the lightmap
does anyone know how the lightmap and texture are blended together? http://i59.tinypic.com/atm7ol.jpg
This actually looks correct to me. But maybe it's just too early in the morning for me to tell.
What format do you use to store your lightmaps? We had the same issue and it was all about storing lightmap textures in a 32 bits per channel .exr format
