Could texture sizes be my bottleneck?
I was just wondering.. My project has 20 1024x1024 textures that hold the lightmap and I was wondering if that's going a little overboard with most modern GPU's. Could this really be my bottleneck from getting smoother fps on say, a newer 1Gb Nvidia graphics card?

everything could be a bottleneck depends on how does it used. disable/delete it, build a project and see the difference to be sure what is bottleneck. or, use profiller to check it.
