Wiimote cursor manipulation using UniWii
Hey guys, I'm attempting to use the UniWii plugin to support the movement of a cursor in a scene. I've got the plugin working but am not sure how to use the available functions to move the cursor in the appropriate direction.
As an example, if the person holds the WiiMote with the infrared sensor facing forwards and moves the WiiMote perfectly to the left, its X acceleration would increase and the cursor that wii is attached to should also move left onscreen. This is easy. However, if the Wiimote has a Roll of 45 degrees and the WiiMote has X acceleration, the cursor should actually move down and left onscreen at an angle of 45 degrees. Then if we have Yaw and Pitch the situation becomes even more complicated and gets really really over my head. Some math is certainly going to be necessary here and this is not my strong suit.
This image may help you understand the variables I'm working with.
Can anyone help me here?
