blood splatter

Hi all ok i have a quick question... i have a pretty extensive game going on... but my queries is this, is it posible that when the startgame button is pressed an animated blood splatter hits the screen, if so how would i go about creating this as i have no idea.. thx

You don't have to instantiate. Create GUITexture the way I have mentioned above.

public GUITexture bloodSplatTex;// assign the texture in inspector

void Start()

{

if( bloodSplatTex != null ) bloodSpaltTex.enabled = false;

}

void OnGUI()

{

if( GUIButton( buttonRect, "Start Game" ) )

{

   bloodSpaltTex.enabled = true;

}

}

There are so many ways you can do it. Simple one is use GUITexture and a transparent texture with splattered blood all over it.

Make GUITexture cover the whole screen by setting all its pixel inset values to zero( X, Y, Width, Height ).

Hide it at the beginning of Game, then show it when the Start button selected.

As I said there are soo many ways to do it. This is a simple and quick way.
