Producing a 2D Bounce Effect For a Simple Game
Hi guys, so I'm running into an issue with a quick game I'm trying to create. The idea is that a ball is dropped from the top of the screen in one of three positions. The player needs to move a paddle (similar to pong) to one of those three spaces to catch the falling ball, which is currently being done with colliders.
However, the object of the game is that once the ball gets bounced once, it will fly up, curve, and land on one of the other two spots. But I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the object to fly in a predefined curve. I don't believe Unity offers an option to travel on a curve and I don't know if using physics will be reliable enough. Is this something I can do as an animation? I'm just looking for some guidance on what I should do.
