change tree textures (possible noob question)
Hi Everyone,
I apologize in advance if this has been answered -- I have searched around with no luck.
I'm trying to customize the palm tree model that comes with unity. I copied the texture file, re-drew my own texture and saved the file as PalmBranch.psd.
When I placed trees it seemed to work, except I hadn't made the background of my new texture file transparent, so I got a square outline, with my new palm leaves inside. I went back and made the background transparent, and now I get only a square outline with no leaves on it. Even if I switch back to the original texture psd file, i get the same thing.(Screenshot below)
Any suggestions?

it looks like 'no texture' currently on trees. so check not a texture, check place where you assigning it to.

You can drag and drop your texture onto the model when its in scene view I believe.

Thanks Scroodge ... that helped!! I checked where the texture was assigned to the tree model, and there was nothing there. Strange that it worked the first time for some reason, and that must have thrown me off. Appreciate the help!!
