Anyone know how to use Unity 5.1 - 5.2? (Animator Controllers and such)

I am completely new to Unity and am making my first build of a game. I figured out how to design in unity. Now I am trying to add a character from Fuse(Mixamo) to my unity game. Truth, I am completely lost now. I have watched tutorials, but they never show 5.1-5.2 and the system is set up different and doesn't work for old animation processes. If anyone knows how I add at least 9 types of character animations for controller. It would be awesome. Also, I tried to follow the tutorial for swapping out Ethan with my character, but as I said, the old processes do not work. Please help... I am willing to collaborate on my project with the right programer.
