Find all assetbundles in folder
Hey guys, I'm trying to support moddability in my game by allowing users to place mod folders inside a certain directory. At the moment i have a ResourceManager class which automatically loads and structures all the files it can find in these folders and saves them in hashtables using unique identifiers.
From what i understand, there is no way of loading prefabs from external folders without the use of assetbundles... which is a bit of a hassle. However, when you build assetbundle files, they have no extension, and you get a bunch of extra meta files when you do so.. so my questions are:
Do you need all these meta files to successfully load (and use) the assetbundle using the WWW class?
How can i automatically load all assetbundles in a folder?
I know that you can rename the assetbundle file to whatever you want, but it feels a bit.. hackish? to enforce such a rule on users.
Thanks in advance.
